Porto Central is a private deep-water industrial port complex developed by the Port of Rotterdam and TPK Logística S.A, located at the center of the Brazilian coast in the State of Espírito Santo.
Porto Central is a multipurpose industrial port complex under development in the Municipality of Presidente Kennedy/ES, in the south of Espírito Santo State, in an area of approximately 2.000 hectares.
It is a deep-water port with up to 25 meters draft, capable to receive deep-draught vessels, such as Valemax and VLCC’s – Very Large Crude Oil Carrier.
Porto Central will be a port serving several industries, such as oil & gas, mining, agribulk, offshore supply, shipyard and others, and will handle diverse cargos such as containers, soybeans, crude oil, oil products such as gasoline and diesel, LNG, coal, iron ore, vehicles, marble and granite, petcoke, fertilizers, general cargos and others.
The port is being developed according to the condominium port management model, in which Porto Central will be responsible for the infrastructure of the port, land and utilities (including dredging, break-waters, berths, piers, access roads) and the clients of Porto Central lease areas for their own terminals/industries. This model reduces the overall investment and operational costs for our clients, allowing the clients to dedicate their resources to their core activities.
Porto Central aims to create a new port perspective, with an attractive environment for the industry, trade and services, in order to become a unique world class port in Brazil.
