Classes for the course “Introduction to the Implementation of Basic Industries and Construction of Physical Infrastructure”, result of a partnership between Porto Central and the Federal Institute of Espírito Santo (Ifes) – Presidente Kennedy Campus, began last Tuesday, September 2.
The inaugural class brought together 25 port employees selected for the first group, along with representatives from both Ifes and Porto Central, reinforcing the port’s commitment to professional qualification.
Over the course of five weeks, participants will attend classes taught by Ifes professors, using the full structure of the campus, and will receive nationally recognized certification. The course was designed to broaden practical and essential knowledge, covering topics such as:
- Citizenship and Professional Ethics
- Port Organizational Culture
- Quality and Productivity
- Communication and Portuguese Language
- Occupational Safety
- Applied Basic Mathematics
- Environment and Sustainability
The initiative is part of the Professional Training Program (PCP) and the Workforce Mobilization and Demobilization Program (PMD), approved by Ibama.
In addition to meeting the needs of the port and industrial sector, the program strengthens the local workforce, expanding employability and contributing to the region’s socioeconomic development.
