The Brazilian coast is considered one of the most active regions in the world for offshore oil & gas production and exploration. Most of the production and exploration is concentrated in the Espírito Santo, Santos and Campos Basins.
Currently, Brazil produces around 2.5 million barrels of oil per day and the projection is to reach 5 million barrels of oil per day in 2030. Most of this increase will come from the basins near Porto Central.
Due to its strategic location, Porto Central aims to serve the major players in the oil & gas business in Brazil, providing the development of the following activities:
- Crude oil transshipment terminal;
- Liquid bulk tankstorage;
- Import and distribution of oil products, such as fuels and chemical products;
- Blending;
- LNG discharge and regasification terminal;
- Bunkering.
