Brazil has great competitive advantages in the production and commercialization of agricultural products and stands out as one of the largest players in the world market. In 2015/2016, the country exported about 83 million tons of grains, especially the various forms of soybeans and corn.

Porto Central is a new competitive and efficient alternative for the export and import of various types of agricultural commodities, mainly from the Southeast and Midwest regions of Brazil, including the States of Minas Gerais, Goiás and Mato Grosso.

The port will be capable of moving large agricultural volumes by truck, via the highways that already provide access to its area and via future railways, through the construction of the EF-118 (Vitória – Rio de Janeiro, passing through Porto Central) and EF-352 railways. (Central-West – Porto Central).
