Last month, Porto Central held an online meeting to present the updated diagnosis of the Socioeconomic Monitoring Program (PMSE), within the framework of CAMPOC – Monitoring Commission of the Socioeconomic Monitoring Program
The meeting aimed to share the consolidated results for the second half of 2025 (July to December), reinforcing the project’s commitment to transparency, continuous impact monitoring, and structured institutional dialogue.
The monitoring covered information on:
- The profile and distribution of local and non-local workforce across the municipalities within the Direct Area of Influence (DAI);
- Socioeconomic indicators, including data on health, education, formal employment, municipal revenues, agricultural production, public safety, and social development;
- Land use and land occupation dynamics, highlighting changes related to agriculture and urban expansion;
- Results of the Citizens’ Values Assessment (CVA), a tool that supports the monitoring of social perception within the territory.
The meeting brought together representatives from civil society organizations, environmental agencies, business associations, and the project’s technical team.
At the end of the session, time was allocated for clarifications, contributions, and the definition of next steps, including the scheduling of the Committee’s next meeting.
Through the regular meetings of the Porto Central Socioeconomic Monitoring Committee (CAMPOC), Porto Central strengthens its socio-environmental governance mechanisms, promoting systematic indicator monitoring, transparency, and collaborative engagement within its area of influence.
