  • Porto Central’s Mobile Ombudsman remains active and has already visited 17 communities

Since its launch in January 2025, the Porto Central Mobile Ombudsman has been strengthening active listening and dialogue with the communities surrounding the port. To date, the mobile structure has visited 17 communities across three municipalities — Presidente Kennedy, Marataízes, and São Francisco de Itabapoana — with a total of 147 people engaged. The initiative aims to establish a direct communication channel with local residents, promoting transparency and responsiveness to community needs.

We began the month of July with visits to two communities in Presidente Kennedy: Campinas and Mineirinho. In total, around 25 people participated in the activities, engaging directly with the Porto Central team and learning more about the project phases, potential impacts, regional benefits, and job opportunities.

The Mobile Ombudsman is part of a series of Porto Central initiatives aimed at strengthening dialogue with the local population, offering a direct channel for submitting questions, concerns, suggestions, and other feedback related to the port.

This initiative reaffirms our commitment to transparency, dialogue, and active listening. It also fulfills the socio-environmental commitments established with the Brazilian Institute of Environment and Renewable Natural Resources (IBAMA).

Later this month, the Mobile Ombudsman will be visiting new communities in Marataízes and Presidente Kennedy. To follow the updated schedule and learn more about this service, visit: OUVIDORIA MÓVEL
