Meeting reinforces Porto Central’s commitment to listening and transparency.

Porto Central held a conversation circle with fishers from the community of Praia de Cações, in Marataízes (ES). The initiative is part of the company’s Social Communication Program (PCS) and aims to strengthen dialogue and address questions regarding the construction and implementation of the port.

During the meeting, topics such as the dredging area, project dimensions, and possible influences of the construction and future operations on local fishing activities were discussed, along with clarifications on coastal monitoring and the planned mitigation measures, to be implemented as the project advances and its environmental effects are assessed.

Managers and representatives of Porto Central’s Socioenvironmental Programs participated in the meeting, responding to the community’s questions and reinforcing the company’s commitment to transparency and ongoing dialogue with neighboring communities.

Praia de Cações is a traditional fishing community in Marataízes, known for its artisanal fishing practices and its important role in the local economy.
