Porto Central, with support from DVF Consultoria, held the first Virtual Seminar on August 19, 2020, at 5 pm via the Zoom Platform, with the theme “Porto Central: Current Situation and Perspectives”. The objective of the seminar was to present the current status of the project and the prospects for the South of Espírito Santo and North of Rio de Janeiro regions with the installation of the project to the representatives of the Management Committees of the Socioeconomic Programs of Porto Central, namely: the Program Socioeconomic Monitoring Program (PMSE), Regional Development Support Program (PADR) and Mobilization and Demobilization/Professional Training Program (PMD-PCP).

The event was mediated by Durval Vieira de Freitas, CEO of DVF Consultoria, who also gave a brief presentation on the objectives of Porto Central's Socioeconomic Programs and with a lecture by José Maria Vieira de Novaes, CEO of Porto Central, who presented a current overview of the progress of the project and the activities planned around the start of works in 2021 for the installation of the first liquid bulk terminal.

Furthermore, the Environmental Manager of Porto Central, Sueli Tonini, gave a brief explanation about the next steps of the Socioeconomic Programs and, in particular, about the schedule for implementing the Management Committees' Work Plan and the agenda of monthly seminars.

Seminar II is planned for September 9, 2020 with the theme “Impacts of Large Projects in the Regions – CSP Case”, to be led by the Institutional speaker from Companhia Siderúrgica do Pecém – CSP.
