Porto Central, in partnership with the Federal Institute of Espírito Santo (IFES) – Presidente Kennedy Campus, is offering the course “Introduction to the Implementation of Basic Industries and Construction of Physical Infrastructure” for all workers involved with the project.
This initiative is part of the Socioeconomic Monitoring Program (PMSE) and aims to enhance participants’ technical skills, preparing them to meet the current and future demands of the port.
The course will be taught by IFES professors, using the institution’s facilities, and will last five weeks, with participants receiving certification upon completion. The program content includes:
- Citizenship and Professional Ethics, Port Organizational Culture, Quality and Productivity
- Communication and Portuguese Language
- Occupational Safety
- Applied Basic Mathematics
- Environment and Sustainability
Registrations were completed last week, and the first class, composed of 25 port workers, will begin in September. New classes will be opened every three months, ensuring the continuity of training.
In addition to preparing professionals for the specific demands of the port and industrial sectors, the program strengthens the training of the local workforce, fostering socioeconomic development and expanding employability in the region.
