Porto Central took part in the “Café com Mulheres” event, held last Saturday in Presidente Kennedy, which brought together more than 100 participants for a morning dedicated to female entrepreneurship and the exchange of experiences.
The program included talks on the journeys of women entrepreneurs, as well as breakfast, networking moments, and prize draws among participants.
An inspiring journey
One of the highlights of the event was the story shared by Silmara Belmiro, a Porto Central employee and resident of the Marobá community, who spoke about her experience with the audience.
Silmara began her work at the project producing native seedlings for environmental reforestation initiatives. This experience opened the door to new learning opportunities and, over time, to a career transition: today, she works as an administrative assistant and is pursuing a degree in Engineering.
Stories like Silmara’s reflect Porto Central’s commitment to generating positive impact in the region by valuing local labor, encouraging education, and creating opportunities for growth.
Supporting initiatives such as “Café com Mulheres” is part of this same commitment: staying close to communities within the project’s area of influence through actions that promote inclusion, opportunities, and sustainable development.
