Porto Central welcomed students from the Production Planning and Control (PCP), Safety Assistant and Port Logistics Assistant courses for a technical visit to the project in Presidente Kennedy.
The courses are offered by the Municipal Department of Social Assistance, in partnership with the State Department of Science, Technology, Innovation and Professional Education (Secti), through the Qualificar ES program.
The activity gave students closer contact with the reality of the port sector and allowed them to connect their professional training with topics such as logistics, safety and planning.
Learning in practice
During the visit, the students attended a presentation on Porto Central, its key features and the progress of Phase I construction.
The group then visited the project site, where they were able to observe the work firsthand and learn more about the infrastructure and construction of the port complex.
The experience broadened students’ understanding of different career opportunities and of the characteristics of the port and logistics sectors.
By welcoming students from the region, Porto Central also strengthens its connection with professional qualification initiatives and helps expand knowledge about the activities and opportunities associated with the project’s development.
