Porto Central hosted a technical visit from students enrolled in the Port Logistics Assistant course, an initiative led by the Municipal Department of Social Assistance through the Qualificar ES program. With a total workload of 120 hours, the course aims to prepare professionals for careers in the port sector.
During the visit, students were introduced to the Porto Central project, its development phases, and key operational, environmental, and logistical aspects. The activity created a direct connection between classroom learning and real-world industry practices.
Student Adriana Teles highlighted the team’s hospitality and the scale of the project, noting that the experience helped deepen her understanding of processes and future opportunities. “The future is there, and great benefits will come along this journey”, she stated.
Course instructor Sérgio Bourguignon emphasized that the main objective of the visit was to bring students closer to professional practice and reinforce classroom learning. According to him, the activity was “a highly valuable experience that helped broaden students’ understanding of the project’s importance and motivated them to pursue further training and professional development.”
The initiative reinforces Porto Central’s role as a driver of local development by supporting actions that contribute to workforce qualification and the creation of opportunities aligned with the growth of the port sector in the region.
