A group of 170 companies supplying products and services in the areas of industrial maintenance, civil construction, project engineering, and information technology, located in Southern Espírito Santo and Northern Rio de Janeiro, is featured in the Local Suppliers Catalog recently launched by the Porto Central Regional Development Management Committee (CGDR), with the support of Porto Central.
The catalog brings together services offered by companies and small businesses based in Porto Central’s Direct Area of Influence (DAI) and Indirect Area of Influence (IAI), which include the municipalities of Presidente Kennedy, Marataízes, and Cachoeiro de Itapemirim in the state of Espírito Santo, as well as São Francisco de Itabapoana and Campos dos Goytacazes in the state of Rio de Janeiro.

According to Lea Reis, Coordinator of Porto Central’s Socioeconomic Programs, the delivery of the Catalog represents the realization of one of the key objectives of the project’s Participation Forums, which were created to support the development of the Area of Influence of the port complex being established in the municipality of Presidente Kennedy.
How to Join the Catalog
The purpose of the catalog is to identify, promote, and publicize companies located within the port complex’s Areas of Influence, helping to create future business opportunities and generate employment and income in the states involved.

The Regional Development Management Committee (CGDR) is part of the Participation Forums, which serve as platforms for engagement between Porto Central and organized civil society, public authorities, companies, trade associations, educational institutions, and development organizations.
The Participation Forums were established to promote discussion, planning, coordination, monitoring, evaluation, and the development of proposals related to economic development, as well as workforce mobilization and demobilization initiatives aimed at improving the management of the socioeconomic impacts associated with the implementation of the port complex.
