Initiative will boost logistics and development in southern Espírito Santo
Porto Central has joined the executive committee of Parklog Sul Capixaba, a strategic program established by the Government of the State of Espírito Santo to position the southern region as a nationally relevant logistics, industrial, and energy hub.
Formally established by a state decree signed this Monday (4) at Palácio Anchieta, Parklog Sul Capixaba defines a permanent agenda for planning and coordination among logistics assets, strategic projects, and public and private investments, with a focus on strengthening regional competitiveness.
Under the coordination of the State Secretariat for Development (Sedes), the committee brings together key stakeholders, including Porto Central, Samarco, Fetransportes, ES em Ação, and Instituto Capixaba do Transporte e Logística. These organizations are responsible for supporting the studies and contributing to a new cycle of economic growth in the state.
“The decree is the step that turns intention into commitment. With Parklog Sul Capixaba formally established, the region now has structure, governance, and a concrete plan to compete at a higher level”, said the Governor Ricardo Ferraço.
Parklog Sul aims to structure a long-term development plan for the region between Anchieta and Presidente Kennedy, with a focus on territorial logistics planning, strengthening productive chains, and creating an enabling environment for industrial and energy development. Key sectors with strong growth potential include oil and gas, ornamental stones, energy, and related industrial activities.
The project is based on a multimodal integration approach, connecting port, energy, rail, road, and airport infrastructure. Key integration assets include Porto Central in Presidente Kennedy, Port of Ubu in Anchieta, the EF-118 (East Arc Corridor) and EF-352 railway corridors, as well as regional airport connections such as the new Aeroporto de Cachoeiro de Itapemirim, in addition to the existing logistics network in the state. This integration will enhance production flow efficiency and increase Espírito Santo’s logistics competitiveness.
The development of Parklog Sul is supported by specialized technical expertise to structure its strategic planning, considering regional economic vocations, logistical challenges, and growth opportunities.
