Porto Central took part last week in the inaugural class of the Technical Course in Logistics offered by Ifes – Presidente Kennedy Campus. The initiative expands professional training opportunities in the municipality and helps prepare local workers for the region’s new development prospects.
As part of the program, the company participated in a roundtable discussion bringing together representatives from the productive sector and institutions involved in regional development. The discussion addressed the economic potential of southern Espírito Santo and the strategic role of logistics in competitiveness, opportunity generation, and the attraction of new investments.
The course is being launched at a time of transformation in Presidente Kennedy and of growth in logistics, industrial, and infrastructure activities across southern Espírito Santo. In this context, professional qualification plays an important role in expanding opportunities for local residents to participate in the region’s development.

With a planned duration of one year and a total workload of 800 hours, the program will cover topics such as logistics fundamentals, warehousing and inventory management, supply chain management, sustainable logistics, international logistics, information systems, entrepreneurship, and production planning and control.
Porto Central’s support for the initiative reinforces the importance of collaboration between educational institutions and the productive sector in expanding professional qualification opportunities and supporting the socioeconomic development of Presidente Kennedy and southern Espírito Santo.
