The third cohort of the Introduction to Basic Industries and Physical Infrastructure Development course, a partnership between Porto Central and IFES Presidente Kennedy, celebrated the completion of its training with a special milestone: for the first time, the program was delivered to a cohort composed exclusively of women.
Named 100% Delas (100% Women), the program brought together approximately 25 participants from Presidente Kennedy, Marataízes, and São Francisco de Itabapoana, reinforcing Porto Central’s commitment to professional qualification, inclusion, and strengthening women's participation in the workforce.
The 60-hour course covered essential topics for working in industrial environments, including port organizational culture, applied basic mathematics, quality and productivity, occupational health and safety, communication, sustainability, citizenship, and professional ethics.
The initiative provided a valuable space for learning, exchange of experiences, and confidence-building, helping participants prepare for the economic development and employment opportunities generated by major infrastructure projects in the region.
